Which membership is best for you?
Membership is open to all culinary and hospitality industry professionals who meet the following criteria.
Application for national membership requires that you apply to the regional branch in your area, which in the Alberta Capital Region is the Edmonton branch. The following criteria for application in this category are:
Total Cost – $267.75 (GST included)
Local initiation fee (One-time charge) – $25.00
National initiation fee (One-time charge) – $31.50
Local annual fees – $80.00
National annual dues – $131.25
This is open to all members of the Canadian Armed Forces whose main course of duty is that of a mess cook, warrant officer or commissioned officer holding a minimum certification of TQ5 or at least eight (8) years industry experience.
Total Cost $160.25 (GST included)
Local initiation fee (One-time charge) – $23.25
National initiation fee (One-time charge) – $31.50
Local annual dues – $42.50
National annual dues – $63.00
This category provides for membership during one’s apprenticeship or course of study in a food service environment or recognized school of culinary training. The applicant may retain junior membership until he/she has attained certification as a Journeyman, after which the member will be invited and required to become a national regular member. Junior membership is limited to a maximum of five (5) years.
Total Cost $81.75 (GST included)
Local initiation fee (One-time charge) – $20.00
National initiation fee (One-time charge) – N/A
Local annual dues – $25.00
National annual dues – $36.75
This is open to companies and/or individuals in the foodservice industry or related areas.
The fees for application are: $100.00 (one-time only initiation fee) plus $200.00 annual dues.
This membership category is specifically designed to accommodate cooks and chefs who do not live or have access to a CCF branch in their area. There are two basic elements that permit you to apply for this category:
You would receive all the rights and privileges of a national member. However, a branch of your choosing would use your vote on national issues.
Application fees and annual dues for National Members at Large are payable directly to the national office:

Fees for application are as follows: $30.00 one-time initiation; $115.00 annual dues; all prices subject to HST/GST depending upon province of residence. There are no taxes for applications outside of Canada. There are no local branch dues to be paid; however, you will be required to elect a branch to which you wish to be affiliated. The branch is then obliged to maintain reasonable levels of communication with you until you decide to reside within the required distance to a branch in Canada
In the event your residence or work situation changes and item two (2) no longer applies, you will have the opportunity to become a member of the branch nearest to you. Please visit the national site to download the appropriate application form.
