On October 30th – ten Junior edmontonCHEFS.ca Members gathered at NAIT for a Halloween Themed Culinary Slam!
The Culinary Slam was a Black Box Challenge – meaning the competitors did not know their two main secret ingredients that they would have to incorporate in their dishes. The challengers had one hour to present one dish, using alligator meat and caramels!
Competitors were judged on how clean they kept their work space, their appearance, the amount of waste they had, the temperature of the plates, taste, originality and presentation.
The winner of the Halloween Culinary Slam was Vada Giguere! Thank you to everyone who participated and joined us!
